A sad loss

The Sidney Democratic Committee is saddened by the loss of one of our active county committee members.

We have learned that George Schwinn of the Town of Franklin died last week of heart failure.

George was a member of the Franklin Democratic Committee and of the Delaware County Democratic Committee. He was an enthusiastic participant and was particularly helpful with databases in need of massaging. Besides that, he always had a gentle smile and a friendly, sometimes ironic word to say to cheer us on.

We’ll miss you, George.

Next Committee Meeting

The next meeting of the Sidney Democratic Committee will be on June 13, 2007 at 7 p.m. at the Civic Center.

The agenda will include the town power renewable energy discussion event that the Committee will be hosting towards the end of the month (more posting on that soon); the County Democrats Annual Dinner, also to take place towards the end of the month; candidate petitioning (including Committee members) and recruitment.

The meeting will be open to the public.
