It’s petition time!
Actually, it has been petition time for a bit of awhile now.
If you have not yet seen the Sidney Committee members showing up at your door yet, never fear, they will probably get there. Right now, we’re collecting signatures on Board of Elections petitions in order to get our Democrats on the ballot in November.
Our members are carrying two petitions. One of them is for our Congresswoman, Kirsten Gillibrand. She intends to stand for re-election (yay!) and our job is to help her campaign to collect enough signatures to get her back on the ballot.
The second petition is for members representing the Delaware County portion of the 127th Assembly District on the New York State Democratic Committee. Those candidates are Dennis Valente, Davenport Town Supervisor and Davenport Democratic Committee Town Chair, and me — Dawn Rivers Baker, Sidney Democratic Committee Town Chair and Delaware County Democratic Committee 1st Vice Chair.
Whew! That was a mouthful!
