Veronica Crandall, in her own words

Veronica Crandall, candidate for town board

Dear Neighbors,

My name is Veronica Crandall and I am currently running for a seat on the Sidney Town Board. My decision to do so is based on the fact that I care deeply about our community, and I want to help enact positive change — change that can benefit us both now and in the future.

By way of background, I am a lifelong, upstate New Yorker who has lived in Sidney for years. My husband, tracey, and I have six wonderful children. I am a recent graduate of Broome-Tioga College and have been employed locally, including at Mead WestVaco, for several years.

If elected, my primary goals are:

  • to increase the promotion and patronage of small businesses, particularly in the downtown Main Street area,
  • to promote greater communication between our town and village — to increase efficiency of services and reduce waste,
  • to help provide greater opportunities for stable living among families and healthy recreational options for young people.

I look forward to getting to know you better in the coming months. I know that, working together, we can renew pride, productivity and promise to our hometown.

Sincerely,
Veronica Crandall
